VOICE:  SOPRANO
Julie Martinez, a Miami native, is a recent graduate of New World School of the Arts, where she completed her Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Vocal Performance. Julie has been singing since she was a child, participating in several choirs at church and at school. Since age eleven, the first time she heard Charlotte Church singing on a CD, opera became her new love.

“Hearing those high notes made every cell in my body jump! At that moment, I knew that’s what I wanted to do.” -Julie

Julie was able to realize her dream in 2009 when she began musical training under the instruction of Amy Ibberson at Miami Dade College. Currently, she continues her studies under the instruction of Linda Considine at New World School of the Arts. Performing has become her new way of life. She is no stranger to the stage. Her credits include the roles of Elisetta in Cimarosa’s Il Matrimonio Segreto and Clorinda in Rossini’s La Cenerentola. Her other credits include the lead role of Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls.

“Music is a gift given to me by God. My purpose is to share this gift with others. This is what drives me and does not allow the fiery passion inside me to burn out.” - Julie
