Brigette Cormier is a choreographer in Miami,FL. She began creating danceworks in 2009while receiving her BFAin Dance at the New World School of the Arts under the direction of Dean Daniel Lewis. Brigette's mentor was Miami-based master choreographer Brigid Baker from 2007 to 2012,while she was dancing in Baker's professional company Whole Project; Brigette has also danced professionally with the Peter London Global Dance Company and the Pioneer Winter Collective. Brigette is currently in choreographic residency at the RIFT Blackbox Theater,preparing to premier her newest work there in April 2016. Brigette's work has been recently commissioned by the Florida Dance Educators Association for the Daniel Lewis Miami Dance Sampler, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America, and MiamiArtZine. Brigette is currently the resident ballet teaching artist at Arts for Learning and a member of the dance faculty at PAN Performing Arts Network and Miami Dance Studio.
