SUBMITTING CHOREOGRAPHY
GUIDELINES
1. By submitting the requested information, you acknowledge that you are the original creator of the work, it is not derivative of any other work, and no one has claim over your intellectual property.
2. All choreography submissions must be in video format:
a. If a video is uploaded, it must be no larger than 20 MB.
b. All uploaded videos must be in .mp4 format.
c. Uploaded video files must have the name of the work and the name of the Choreographer as the file name.
d. Links to your videos on other sites are also accepted.
3. Choreographers must specify if their choreography has or does not have musical accompaniment.
a. Live musical and/or spoken word accompaniment is preferred and highly encouraged.
b. All choreography that must absolutely have fixed media as an accompaniment will be considered on a case by case basis.
4. Choreographers may request to collaborate with composers. However, composers must submit their compositions on the CMN Composer’s Submissions page.
a. CMN encourages choreographers to collaborate with our past contributors.
b. By clicking HERE or HERE, choreographers may view collaborating composer profiles, and hear their respective available audio files. i. After hearing the audio samples from past collaborators, choreographers may request to collaborate with a specific composer who may be willing to compose music to accompany the submitted choreography.
5. If your choreography is selected, you will be notified by Compositum Musicae Novae and asked to sign a Consent of Release Form, as well as an Insurance Waiver. If your choreography is not selected, your uploaded files will be kept on record and considered for future events. CMN will never use your intellectual property in any way without your written consent.
