Emily Peters graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Clothing Design from the University of Minnesota at the Twin Cities. Emily embarked into the work of metal work as a jewelry designer. Her label, The Atelier E, continues to be a nourishing venture and a source of awe for clients and appreciators alike.
While Emily built The Atelier E, she continued to paint and sculpt to satisfy her need to create compelling pieces. Her works include a chair painted exclusively for Haus Fashion in her signature Frenzy motif, her Frenzy Scooter featured in an advertising campaign for KruZin Footwear, and a metal sculpture collaboration with artist, Yuri Tuma, which was exhibited at Scope Art Fair 2012.
Her venture into photography was a natural step in her development as an artist. She took all of her own photos for The Atelier E, and enjoyed the immediacy and complete expression of the medium. Her interest in the metaphysical - which appears with abundance in her jewelry label -is palpable in her photography works. The surrealist nature of these images speaks on many very personal levels to the viewer.
